True or False: Improving your situation isn't always something you have the power to do?
True! Quiting shouldn't be an option either. I guess you keep trying even if you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel.True or False: Improving your situation isn't always something you have the power to do?
It is not always possible to improve your situation, that is true.





But in most instances it is possible to change your assessment of the hopelessness of your situation.





The most unfortunate situation is having turned away from the opportunity to avail oneself of the preparation to improve your situation.
This gets into a tricky semantic area quite frankly. We always have the power to choose to change our situations. But often times we do not choose to do so (occasionally for good reason).





So particularly in circumstances were you choose not to fix things for good reason (it impacts your kids/family or it would mean making less money at your job) we can feel trapped. Feeling trapped is what makes it seem like you ';do not have the power to do.'; Even though you do have the choice.
False. There's always something else you could do. The fact that you've run out of ideas doesn't mean there isn't anything else. Speak with counselors, read books, seek out the advice of clergy, ask questions on Y!A, ask for help from friends and family, employ government services.
True. Think of a POW. Not much they can do. Or, maybe someone who lives in a third world country. No matter what good ideas they have or hard work they do, the poverty and corruption will stop them.





That is one thing I love about our country. We at least try to give opportunity. Even if we are not always successful.
False. It's just sometimes what you would have to do to improve your situation requires more of a sacrifice than a person is willing to make.
Unless you are dead you always have the power to change what you don't like, even it's meaning sitting back and having a few pints to zone out to do that.
Sometimes, eventually, but in the short term, one must make due without driving onself insane.





Even in prison, one could escape mentally, I suppose.
It is true when you have to rely on someone else for the improvement. The question is how to you coax it.
I think improving your situation is possible 9 out of 10 times. How much improvement is another issue lol!
