In philosophy, especially in metaphysics, materialism is the belief that the only things that exist are physical things. This means that materialists don't believe in souls, ghosts, phenomena, etc.

materialism means giving importance for the physical anything over spiritual anything

They condemn any faith or superstition, and embrace the importance of logic,reason, and the tangiable to obtain happiness
