Anywhere oil infrastructure is being developed lawsuits are filed to stop production.Even if Congress removes the ban on Drilling Liberal Eco groups will sue to stop drilling True or False?
I love how they say that Bush ';banned offshore drilling';. What good is drilling if we don't have refinery capacity? The Eco groups have not allowed expansion of the existing ones nor the construction of new ones.
Whether they like it or not, the Dems are to blame for this as they've held us back for years. If they continue complaining about the high price of fuel, it's their fault and I have no sympathy for these whiners!Even if Congress removes the ban on Drilling Liberal Eco groups will sue to stop drilling True or False?
The day we announce we're drilling in Alaska (or wherever else), the gas prices will drop in half at least. Then once we have a steady supply of our own stuff and are independent, gas prices will drop even more and stay lowish unless taxes increase. Presently, Exxon is the biggest taxpayer in the history of the world. Think of how much lower gas would be if there were no tax on big oil. Eco groups might sue but it's the average american who will see the benefit of drilling and realize that any lawsuit is ridiculous.
True.
But that won't stop the Bush administration from playing political games (as they HAVE BEEN for the past several years)...especially over this oil crisis.
Gosh, don't you love election season? Too bad Bush didn't get the memo that HIS GAMES AREN'T WORKING ANYMORE.
I'm not sure what they could do, but I think if congress approves it, it's a law and the Environmental groups can't stop it. My biggest concern is that Congress is still controlled by environmental groups. That's the first hurdle to overcome.
When Bush Sr. passed the ban in 1990, gas prices were cheap and the environmental conservation was important. At this point, the ECONOMY is in jeapordy.
Well, we're screwed in the short term either way. Three years or longer by the oil industry's estimate, 8 years by the Ecos you refer to. In three years, gas will cost $12. at the pump.
And let's all remember: It was Republican Bush Sr. who banned offshore drilling originally.
Here is what us tax payers get out of the drilling. Nothing. Why should we help the oil companies make more money and risk a oil spill. The oil can't even be used in our cars so its just extra profits for the oil companies.
Thats why they need to put collars on the tree huggers. Reality is that in the long run, they do more harm than good. They are the ones that think they can have it both ways and it just isn't going to happen.
The far-left environmentalist will continue to obfuscate in any way that they can. They mean to destroy our nation's economy, period.
because the groups have to make up grants to pat them selves and their by having the power to start law suits
True, they will try but it will fail.
I'd say true. Dumb sh*ts.
It's time to dust off the 2nd Amendment !
We can only hope. It will force the auto industry to come up with more fuel efficient vehicles, we will be forced to develop alternative fuels, and it will protect the environment. Tough love.
Congess thankfully won't have enough votes.
