True or False: A link is a pointer to a document somewhere on the Web?

I said noooo noooo nooooTrue or False: A link is a pointer to a document somewhere on the Web?
it's false because the link can be a picture witch is not a document

and the file can be on your computer witch is not the web

A link is a pointer on a fileTrue or False: A link is a pointer to a document somewhere on the Web?
technically this is false

(5x+2)+0=5x+2 is it true or false and what property?

?(5x+2)+0=5x+2 is it true or false and what property?
it is called the zero property, or Identity Property...and yes that is true

The Zero property means that adding 0 to any number leaves you with the number. (ex: 0 + 5 = 5)

Also, the problem with the other answer: Associative property has nothing to do with adding 0, it means that if you reverse the order of added numbers, you get the same answer...so 3+5 is the same as 5+3, which has nothing to do with what you're asking :o)(5x+2)+0=5x+2 is it true or false and what property?
It is true. It is called the additive identity, or identitive property of addition, which says that if you add zero to any quantity, the sum will be the original quantity itself. 鈾?br>

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Additive_id鈥?/a>
I think it's the associative property (it states that it doesn't matter which numbers associate with each other)
True. Associative.
true, additive identity property

True Or False?? How can you love somebody when you dont love yourself? explain this one please?

I think it's true. I see people all the time that obviously don't love themselves but are married and seem to be in love.True Or False?? How can you love somebody when you dont love yourself? explain this one please?
    You can't.

You must first place a value of worth on oneself to give a value to the love you offer to another.

If one expects to give oneself to another there should always be something there to help build a relatiuonship on.

Worthless is not a credit but actually a debit when it comes to love.True Or False?? How can you love somebody when you dont love yourself? explain this one please?
true... if you cant find something in yourself to love then how can someone else... and if they do how can they stay with you if u dont want urslf does this make sense... it does in my head... i have a record for bad explainations... but i have the explaination
    I believe it's false

Because the reason someone wouldn't love themself is because they can't find anything in themself to love, though if they find something in someone else that they love, then they can love that person
Because people are different from each other. Just because you don't love yourself, that doesn't stop you from loving others.
    False.

Sometimes, when you don't love yourself, you need someone to love you and point out how amazing you really are.
false you can hate yourself for loving someone else
I have never loved myself. But I am capable of loving others. I always have been. Animals are the easiest to love, tho.

True or false: Most poor people are ';lazy'; and most wealthy people are ';hard-working';?

True or false: Most poor people are ';lazy'; and most wealthy people are ';hard-working';?
    Not necessarily true.

What is true, is that people who are paid less offer less valued services. People who are paid more offer more highly valued services.

Poor can be very hard working in manual labor, and rich can be very lazy in a desk job. However, someone who labors all day gathering potatoes in the sun are only dealing with potatoes. Someone in a easy desk job, whos labor might consist of 10 seconds of thought and the manual labor of a pen stroke, may be dealing with a $10 billion transaction.

I may go out on a limb and say the poor who are struggling to do what is right, and earn a living, very well may be working the hardest. They may not be the brightest, no degree, maybe not even a GED, but they know they must provide for a family, so they take any hard job they can get to put food on the table.
I will agree that most rich people are very hard working (that does not include the trust fund babies that inherit their wealth form daddy).

But as to poor people most work very hard. I mean very hard work and very long back braking hours. They do not have the education or will power to ';use'; money properly to create wealth.

Beyond that there are lazy people that are naturally poor because of that trait. But drugs and other additions keep a lot of people poor.

Bye the way - it is not my fault and I should not be forced to pay for their additions!
Hard working people whose jobs provides them with food, shelter, simple pleasures in life, close family %26amp; friends, some advantages for their children, faith in God may not have a lot of money or luxuries but they are happy, content because their values are focused on the things that are the most gratifying in life. By the wealthy's standards they may be not have a lot of luxuries to leave when they die but they by no means feel poor.

The most poor are those whose greed for power, prestige, keeping up with the Jones's, envy to accumulate more stuff, whose life revolves around making money for more 'things' of no lasting value are the most miserable because greed knows no limit.

The lazy are poor because they are uneducated by choice, will do nothing to take advantage of the opportunities life offers them and have been born into a system whose morality, faith in God %26amp; themselves have failed. Those who believe they are entitled through others hard work and sacrifice and taxes to continue to live an irresponsible lifestyle provided by the government. Those who continue to bring children into the world with no thought of how they will support them, thus, teach them to believe the government and others owe them a living and grow up full of hate and resentment. When the government entitlements can't satisfy them they become dangerous and turn to crime. Unfortunately, the cycle continues as long as liberals can get votes to stay in Congress or high positions where they themselves become multimillionaires.

Greed knows no bounds and fosters corruption %26amp; inevitably misery.
That's a loaded question if ever there was one. Most poor people are born into circumstances in which they will not be able to survive due to poor nutrition and lack of clean water in many MANY places in this world. The industrialists and their accomplices have helped to ensure that that happens by displacing them through various means, either by force or otherwise. In the U.S. one only has to refer back to when Native Americans lived in harmony with the natural world until their culture was virtually wiped out and now many of them are poor and living on reservations.

The 'hard working' industrialists lack empathy and remorse. For those industrialists who have a any sort of conscience, they assuage the slightest amount of guilt they may be experiencing by funding charities and 'giving back to the community' (they sure as hell ought to). Generally, they take what they can when can and your ambitiousness and 'hard work' is what they want out of you in order for them to achieve more wealth. When your home ends up in foreclosure, your job outsourced, and your health insurance premiums go higher and higher and you are bankrupt, then you can thank those at the very top for helping you to get there. How's that for being 'hard working'?
Of course many successful people are intelligent and hard working.

This seems to break down, however, with the super wealthy - I've known a few and they are without exception dullards, people who grew up with money and used their family's contacts and/or Ivy League school contacts to get jobs they in no way deserved.

And had a shocking sense of entitlement and lack of ethics that allowed them to manipulate and exploit the system.
false. Rich people get maid service and poor people do their own work. Rich people live off the grease of the working class while they sit on their butts and have everyone else do everything for them. Most were born into wealth and had easy access to become successful while the poor person has to work their a$$es off and still only receive the crumbs from the rich man's table.
I think there is no correct answer to such a broad question. People are lazy, people are hardworking. Too many variables in a vas vantage point unique to each.

Those who do not put in the hard work for success, probably will not achieve it. But on the other hand, it's like this. I was plant superintendent for a cabinet shop years ago. We all worked very hard. Due to the effects of the economy, regardless of our hard work the company in the end did not succeed thus we didn't get rich.

Then you must weigh what wealth means to each individual. Many believe true wealth is not measured by the amount of money one has, but the number of people one can truly call a friend.

I know you and I have different political views, but that's okay. It's what America is about. I do think you are intelligent, with much to offer to the debate. Politics aside, if we were to meet in person, I am sure we would get along just fine.

I do wish you well, and a successful life what ever that means to you.
People who want something for nothing ARE lazy....Listen, if people were screaming for the opportunity to earn %26amp; buy what they wanted I would be all for it and support them at every turn...the fact that most people now want government to hand out items at the cost of ';rich people'; is disturbing. Yep...those types are lazy as f*** all.

People should befighting for their right to be rich themselves instead of fighting over scraggings from a rich man's table.
if someone says that poor people are lazy you should slap them. i dont know how it is where you are but here in Australia if you have no money or identification you cant get a home, if you dont have a home you cant bath and sleep comfortably, if you dont bath you cant get a job and without a job how can you get identification? and it doesnt help that half of the homeless are mentally ill.

    so false
Actually, what peer-reviewed science shows is that most poor people are stupid and most wealthy people are intelligent. I'm not joking; the correlation is very strong. Look it up.

Why do libs seem to always insist that criminals are victims, lazy people are oppressed, and hard-working people are undeserving?
Not True, Meaning They are Poor Because they Work Hard But they don't earn enough Money and that's a Shame, and Rich People Some Just Act Wild and Spend Spend Spend Money they sure Didn't Earn Paris Hilton and Britney Spears' Ex K FED just a Couple of Examples.
    It's probably a mixed answer--not either/OR.

It's pretty clear that lazy people are likely to be poor, and ambitious people have a better chance for success.

Wouldn't even a Lefty agree with that?
Probably not most. However, I don't know anyone who is poor and hard-working unless they made very bad decisions in their lifetime.
False, however you don't make any significant money by sitting on your rear, collecting welfare. Hard work equals more money through Capitalism, which is the only fair system.

Could not be further from the truth.

i havent found this. I remember when i was younger around 14 i shaved my armpits in order to make them hairy...Nothing happened:( just took ages to grow back again.True or false does shaving daily encourage more facial hair to grow? and please information wud be nice?
I don't really know. If you have already started shaving then it is growing as fast as it will in the future. But if you don't shave yet and your facial hair isn't growing kind of like the hair on your arms. And you shave it then it will start growing fast and become coarse.

With this stupidness I always had a small moustache that I never shaved. And then there were these hairs that came out of my chin and then I shaved them. And then I got sort of a beard that grows and I have to sort of shave it every week. But my moustache doesn't grow at all and I don't need to shave it.
Yes, the more you shave the thicker the hair will grow. If you are trying to grow facial hair I wouldn't recommend this because as you get older you may end up with thicker hair than you want.
    nahh just whiskers
just shave when you need too cuddy
Totally false. No physiological reason for it to occur. Hair is dead tissue, and cutting it off doesn't stimulate growth any more than rubbing or massaging the area you are shaving. Just an urban myth that occurs when not very bright boys start shaving one day, and a few weeks later notice they have more hair then they did when they first started shaving. Duh! Called natural development. The beard is coming in, and more develops as the guy matures. They would have the same amount of hair whether they shaved it or not.
No, shaving every day does not make your hair grow in thicker.

    Look here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hair-re鈥?/a>
Ok Jas, When you shave the hair will grow back in about 3 weeks but then you wake up and you have 4 o'clock shadow that's because the hair you shaved 3 weeks ago is growing back. If you want a thick beard or groomed facial hair try shaving in the am and then wait until the next evening b4 bed to shave again, this gives the hair time to come out of shock. Every time you do something to any hair you shock it so you have to even out shaving time, don't shave at the same time every day.

    Beauty Tip:

If you grow a beard or mustache and it gets fly away and springs in every direction use conditioner and wax and comb to train the short hair to lay down. It takes time but it works.

  • True or False? Two cultural groups of Jews with distinct histories are Sephardic and Ashkenazi.?

    True.

Ashkenazi Jews are those of Eastern and Central European descent--countries like Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, and Germany. Most Jews in the United States (myself included) are of Ashkenazi descent.

Sephardi are those Jews with ancestry in medieval Spain. They are found in certain European countries, Turkey, and the Middle East. (The term Sephardi is sometimes used more broadly to refer to any Jews from the Middle East, even those who do not have a family history in Spain.)

Ashkenazim and Sephardim (those are the plural forms) have distinct religious customs. For example, Ashkenazim do not eat rice on Passover, whereas Sephardim do.

I am not going to provide a reference; you can go to Wikipedia and look up the respective articles on Ashkenazi and Sephardi for more information.

True or false: a triangle exterior angle is supplementary to the adjacent angle?

    TRUE

If memory serves, the exterior angle is formed by extending one of the lines of a side of a triangle. Since the angle inside the triangle plus the newly formed angle on the outside comprise a straight line (180掳), the two angles are supplementary by definition.

True or false? an object can be accelerating even if its speed is constant?

True. Acceleration is change in velocity, which is both speed and direction.. If an object is moving at a constant speed but changing directions (for example, constant circular motion) it is accelerating.True or false? an object can be accelerating even if its speed is constant?
    True. Centripetal motion.

    Force = Mass * Acceleration

    Force also equals mv^2 / r

Velocity is constant, but a force is still being produced, thusly there is acceleration.True or false? an object can be accelerating even if its speed is constant?
False, by definition. But if by ';speed';, you actually mean ';velocity';, then true. Previous response is correct.

  • I hear that if you look at a portrait during pregnancy, your baby will look like that person. True or false?

So, if you stare at a picture of Hitler for your entire pregnancy and even though you may have a girl, you are telling me you are going to have a woman who looks like Hitler... come on now....I hear that if you look at a portrait during pregnancy, your baby will look like that person. True or false?
I think I know what your talking about but its not that your baby will look like that person, its more like looking at ugly things and pretty things, well what you asked is definitely false but you wouldn't want to be looking at an evil ugly thing for example a picture of a gremlin when your pregnant .I'm not sure how to really explain it but its kinda like whatever your heart thinks of reflects your face.I hear that if you look at a portrait during pregnancy, your baby will look like that person. True or false?
    LMAO

Unless the portrait you're looking at is your spouse (or the person you got pregnant with), I'd say the probability of that happening is rather low. Your child is one half you and one half the person you conceived with - what does someone else's picture have to do with it? LOL
Let me ask you a question...If both you and your husband happen to be of Chinese decent and your baby is 100% Chinese but you look at a portrait of say..Barack Obama everyday...do you really think you baby would come out looking like him?
I ve heard something Similar... if you look at pretty people during pregnancy your Baby will be Pretty... but I dont believe it its an old wives tale... dont think too much in to it... baby will look like you and the Father and Hopefully not like a Neighbor :)
I would imagine false. I looked at various portraits during my pregnancy and my baby still looks like her daddy. None of the portraits were of him!
Absolutely right. The reason that I look like Tom Cruise (only taller) is because my mum looked at pictures of him in ';Woman's Own'; magazine.
ofcourse its true. Its been scientifically proven. It makes alot of sense aswell.

True or False: Both Sperm produced within a pollen grain are genetically unique.?

I'm gonna have to say false.

Each pollen grain will be genetically unique, however, the nuclei within a single pollen grain are genetically identical. Think of pollen production being similar to spermatogenesis, but then add some post-meiotic events. This means that you'll get 4 genetically unique cells at the end of meiosis. Each cell will develop into a pollen grain. Development into a pollen grain requires the cell to produce more nuclei. Each cell will undergo karyokinesis which is a type of endomitosis. Since this is mitosis, the nuclei produced are the same as the nuclei initially in the cell. Each cell produces an additional nuclei and a tube nuclei in typical angiosperms. This means that the genetic makeup of the nuclei in a single pollen grain are identical. So the answer is false.True or False: Both Sperm produced within a pollen grain are genetically unique.?

True or False? A gene may encode information needed by a cell to produce mRNA and tRNA but not rRNA?

false...a gene only encodes mRNA which can be translated into a protein. tRNA and rRNA are both non-coding RNA species that serve structural and catalytic roles in protein synthesis (translation)True or False? A gene may encode information needed by a cell to produce mRNA and tRNA but not rRNA?
    False.

ALL RNA are encoded, or transcribed, from DNA (genes),

mRNA are RNA that are used to translate into proteins.

tRNA are RNA that are used to transport amino acids.

rRNA form ribosomes that is used for docking amino acid chains.

mRNA, tRNA and rRNA differ only in function not composition (nucleic acids) or origin.True or False? A gene may encode information needed by a cell to produce mRNA and tRNA but not rRNA?
True, messenger RNA makes a copy of the gene on the DNA and then goes to the ribosome where amino acids on transfer RNAs corresponding to the codes on the mRNA are added to form a chain ie protein.

Ribosomal RNAs are formed by a different process unrelated to DNA.
FALSE- Many RNAs do not code for protein however. These non-coding RNAs can be encoded by their own genes (RNA genes), but can also derive from mRNA introns. The most prominent examples of non-coding RNAs are transfer RNA (tRNA) and ribosomal RNA (rRNA), both of which are involved in the process of translation.

True or False? Both neutron and protons are locate in the nucleus of the atom?

All of the bound protons and neutrons in an atom make up a dense, massive atomic nucleus, and are collectively called nucleons. Although the positive charge of protons causes them to repel each other, they are bound together with the neutrons by a short-ranged attractive potential called the residual strong force. At distances smaller than 2.5 fm, the residual strong force is stronger than the coulomb force, so it is able to overcome the mutual repulsion between the protons in the nucleus. The radius of a nucleus is approximately equal to fm, where A is total number of nucleons. This is much smaller than the radius of the atom, which is on the order of 105 fm.[22]

Atoms of the same element have the same number of protons, called the atomic number. Within a single element, the number of neutrons may vary, determining the isotope of that element. The number of neutrons relative to the protons determines the stability of the nucleus, with certain isotopes undergoing radioactive decay.

A nuclear fusion process that forms a deuterium nucleus from two protons. A positron (e+)鈥攁n antimatter electron鈥攊s emitted along with an electron neutrino. The number of protons and neutrons in the atomic nucleus can be modified, although this can require very high energies because of the strong force. Nuclear fusion occurs when additional protons or neutrons collide with the nucleus. Nuclear fission is the opposite process, causing the nucleus to emit some amount of nucleons鈥攗sually through radioactive decay. The nucleus can also be modified through bombardment by high energy subatomic particles or photons. In such processes which change the number of protons in a nucleus, the atom becomes an atom of a different chemical element.

The fusion of two nuclei that have lower atomic numbers than iron and nickel is an exothermic process that releases more energy than is required to bring them together. It is this energy-releasing process that makes nuclear fusion in stars a self-sustaining reaction. The net loss of energy from the fusion reaction also means that the mass of the fused nuclei is lower than the combined mass of the individual nuclei. The energy released (E) is described by Albert Einstein's mass鈥揺nergy equivalence formula, E = mc虏, where m is the mass loss and c is the speed of light.

The mass of the nucleus is less than the sum of the masses of the separate particles. The difference between these two values is binding energy of the nucleus. It is the energy that is emitted when the individual particles come together to form the nucleus.[22] The binding energy per nucleon increases with increasing atomic number until iron or nickel is reached.[23] For heavier nuclei, the binding energy begins to decrease. That means fusion processes with nuclei that have higher atomic numbers is an endothermic process. These more massive nuclei can not undergo an energy-producing fusion reaction that can sustain the hydrostatic equilibrium of a star. Eventually, at sufficiently high atomic numbers, the binding energy becomes negative, resulting in an unstable nucleus

Sorry, but I don't agree with you on this one. A person can fall out of love as a relationship turns sour. You begin to find out things about ';your true love'; as the relationship develops and it wasn't what you originally saw in that person before you fell in love. All relationships start out as ';this is the one'; and of course 2 months later you start wondering, what the hell did I ever see in him/her in the first place. Time to move on even when you were 100% sure this was the one when you two met 2 months ago. Remember, you can't always judge a book by it's cover. Meaning that beauty is only skin deep. It's what's inside that person that you fall in love with. At first it's falling in LUST, not love. Answer: FALSE
Ideally, that's how ';true love'; is supposed to work. However, I think you can fall out of true love. There always has to be commitment both ways, and if for example a guy was in love with a girl, but after years of being together she stopped giving it her all, it's possible that he could fall out of love.

Then when our relationship hit a rough patch she made a ';mistake'; and had an affair. She wanted me to forgive and forget. I ended this relationship, and all though it took me a long time to move on, I did. I fell head over heels in love with her, and then I basically got dropped on my heart. Although I don't hate her, I sure as hell don't love her.

True or False, every statement has a truth value?

Elaborate this if you will. I'm confused.True or False, every statement has a truth value?
True. In logic, a ';statement'; is defined as an assertion that can be determined to be true or false. The ';truth value'; of a statement is its determination either of truth or falsity.

By this definition, every ';statement'; has a truth value.

Examples of such statements are: ';Every time Carlos works late, Jenny takes the bus home';, and ';most of the people in this room said that they enjoy the smell of daffodils';. (The truth value of either statement could be determined, by direct observation or perhaps deduction.)

So, if we restrict the set of things known as ';statements'; to those things which are either true or false, then of course every statement has a truth value.

    --

However, you didn't define the scope of your terminology. So, it may depend on your definition of ';statement';:

In a more general sense, if, by ';statement';, you mean simply any assertion or claim that can be expressed in words, then there are many such ';statements'; which hold no truth values: For instance, paradoxes, expressions of subjective experiences or personal taste, and claims which cannot be falsified.

Examples of general statements which have no logical truth values are: ';This statement is false'; (which is a paradox), ';this statement is beautiful'; (which cannot be falsified lacking established criteria), and ';daffodils smell good'; (which is subjective and a matter of personal taste).True or False, every statement has a truth value?
Sure. If it is a false statement, then that is still the truth.

    2. The angle bisector of a triangle always intersect inside the triangle?

    3. The perpendicular bisectors of a triangle always intersect inside the triangle?True or false geometry question?
1.true (when we will have an isosceles or equilateral triangle)

2.true.(as the point of intersection is the incentre which must lie inside the triangle as it is the centre of the circle inscribed in the triangle)

3.false(as the points of intersection is circum centre which may not lie inside the triangle as it is the centre of the circle circumscribing the triangle)True or false geometry question?
it is possible for a triangle to have 3 right angle. it's called a euclidean triangle, look it up

sorry this doesn't answer your question i just think it's a fun geometry fact.
Q1: Yes, when we have an isoceles triangle.

    Q2: Yes.

Q3: No, it can go outside the triangle.

    1. True, however only if sides of the angle your doing the bisector are equal.

    2. True always

3- False in case you have one angle larger than 90 degrees and true if all angles are less than 90 degrees.
    No, No, No

At least that's what I think. Because in order for a line to be perpendicular, doesn't it have to form a right angle. I don't think a triangle can have a perpendicular bisector because it would have to have 90 degrees on both sides because of the definition of bisect. Angle bisectors don't always bisect inside a triangle, sometimes they bisect on the outside.

    Which god ?

Seriously, if fundigelicals are going to keep saying ';God wants this'; and ';God wants that'; they've got a pretty weak god if he can't even make his candidate win a lousy presidency.

Of course, when their fave candidate loses, they'll just claim it's all God's will, brainwashed as always and immune to the complete and utter lack of evidence beyond their own self-deluded hypnosis that they call ';experience.'; God wants Sarah Palin to be a President of the United States? True or false, and how do you determine this?
Yes, I'm sure She did want Palin to be President, that's why She made John McCain lose too, so Paln wouldn't have to waste her time controlling the senate for next several years.

BTW, did you see the great new movie called W?

It spent lots of time, demonstrating how God chose GW to be president too. God saved Bush from sin, and told him he should run for President, instead of his brother Jed.

Makes you think that God's plans are really deep, and good.

Believers must also then believe that God did want Obama to win too.

Just a thought for god-fearing people to consider.
If God wanted her to be president he would have gotten McCain elected so she could jump right in if McCain would be unable to continue his term or after his term was up and she could run as the favorite VP with experiece and all that.

I think God want Sarah Palin to go back to Alaska.
only God knows what the future has in store. we do not know who he wants as president. just because obama won the election, does not mean God wants him to be president. God gives us free will to make decisions for ourselves. if everyone would pray as to who God would have to lead our country and vote accordingly, then this country would be a lot better off.
I'm pretty sure He doesn't. But then again, I don't believe God cares. In the words of Benjamin Franklin...

“...The longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that ‘except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it.’ ”
    Duh, it's in the Bible. ';And Jesus said, ';Let Sarah Palin become President of the future world super-power...so that she may meet the President of Africa, her most beloved country.';';
    False

Separation of Church %26amp; State (keep religious beliefs/viewpoints out of our laws).

Our Country believes in freedom of religion (ALL religions) so God has nothing to do with it.
GOD? Sara palins alter ego, secondpersonality?

The only reason he would want sara pali to become prez is to see what kind of destruction would occur. What might happen..
False I don't think anybody knows exactly what God wants, unless they speak with him directly and I don't think this can happen anymore.
By how rabidly libs attack her. She should be yesterdays news, yet libs feel so threatened by her they can't stop. Then again, if Biden was my guy, I'd want to talk about someone else too.
You made an insane, obviously false statement, so now YOU tell US how you determine this!

False - there is no ';god'; that gives a damn about our presidential elections.
This can be determined if she ever is President.
    False, Obama is president-elect.
False. God wouldn't play favourites like that.
    True. I know.
It's an strategy used by politicians. Their gods are money and power.
That's a rumor, I asked God about this yesterday and he said it was a lie.
The only way to determine Gods will is to throw her under the ice and see if she walks out. Sure test.
    Bush made the same claim.

Palin is just Bush with boobs.
    God forbid.
False, God has better things to do then care about who is president of the US.
where do you people get this stuff from? You should be really really creative.
Do you really think God wants that lazy black bastard to be president?
    I am........and I am says so.
    False.
False, change the God to Satan and then it's true.
if god wanted her to be president don't you think it would have happened
False. Just because Palin hears voices that doesn't make it real
    God does not exist.

Poll:True or False All the best men are either taken or gay?

Is the statement 'this statement is false' true or false?

This statement is false is a paradox. Neither true or false.

    Liar's Paradox:

    ';This statement is false.'; is known as a liar's paradox. It is an illustration of inherent flaws in logic. Another example of a liar's paradox is: ';The next statement is false. The previous statement is true.';

    EXAMPLE IN POP CULTURE:

The liar's paradox can be found in an episode of Star Trek where Captain Kirk defeats a ';superior'; computer by introducing a logic loop similar to the questions liar paradox.

    Language:

In semantics there is the issue of truth condition, where the meaning of a sentence is conveyed if the truth conditions for the sentence are understood. A truth condition is what makes for the truth of a statement in an inductive definition of truth. The semantic theory of truth was developed from the work of a Polish logician named Alfred Tarski who attempted to formulate a new theory of truth in order to solve the liars paradox. In doing so, Tarski developed the indefinability theorem, similar to Godels incompleteness theorem. The Theory that the concept of truth for the sentences of language cannot be consistently defined within that language means that such paradoxes as ';This statement is false'; do not reveal the truth or falsity of the sentence by the words that have been used.Is the statement 'this statement is false' true or false?
    The statement is false.

    Reasoning:

If the statement is assumed to be true, then it is false.

If the statement is assumed to be false, then it is false. Is the statement 'this statement is false' true or false?
    Yes,

It is either true or false.
both true in the essence that it's false
    It can be both.
    Yes.
    true
depends on how u look at it

Obama, Pelosi, Reid = the trifecta of all that is wrong with Democrats, true or false?

If you list them as Reid - Pelosi - Obama, you can make the acromyn RePO.

They're going to get the Federal gov't so far into debt that the whole USA will get repo'd.

    Major trifecta of overspending.

ACORN registers those votes that they buy with new welfare programs.

    We pay.

Everybody lives like poor people except for them.Obama, Pelosi, Reid = the trifecta of all that is wrong with Democrats, true or false?
    True

We are headed for a Great Demorcrat Depression if Barack Hussein Obama is elected, God forbid, and implenents his Socialist TAX TAX TAX.

The United Socialist States of America aka USSA.

Karl Marx believed that socialism represents the transition between capitalism and communism.

Obama, Pelosi, Reid = the trifecta of all that is wrong with Democrats, true or false?
Other than the fact that a getting the trifecta is usually a good thing, that is a true statement.

Seems like a recipe for disaster.
As a horseman, I enjoy betting on the tri fectas, but in the case of this tri fecta, we all lose

    There are no democrats

    only Republicans in denial
True!! These socialists will ruin America if they get more power. The dems have been running congress for the last two years and they have a lower approval rating than the president who they insist on bashing.

The problem is the repugs don't get it.

67% of the population feel the country is headed in the wrong direction.

A good portion of republican representatives will be run out of office next week.

It is predicted the Dem's will pick up seats in the senate, they could in fact have a veto proof congress.

Pay attention. It is the repugs that have been wrong
I don't believe you republicans are trying to use this as a reason to vote for McCain.

This is like saying...we know McCain is a horrible choice for president....but we can't let dems have all 3...so PLEASSSSSSSEEEEEE????
