Nah. First of all humans are not particularly closely related to monkeys, it's apes that we share most of our DNA with. And that 2% that differentiates us from Chimpanzees and Binobos are mostly asthetic, things like straight spine, different facial structure, and a much bigger emphasis on leg strength. Most apes have their strength equally distributed between arms and legs, while humans' arms are much weaker.

If a monkey is shaved,btw,he can't protect himself from mosquitoes.


The furr/hair is slightly sticky purposely for that reason.A mosquitoe would be trapped once it tries to bite the monkey.
