I was told that brown rice was more healthy and less fattening than white rice? True or False?

Brown rice is healthier, since it doesn't have the outer layer (where all the vitamins are) stripped away. The calories are basically the same as white rice, but because of the higher fiber content it may cause less of a blood sugar spike (this reduction in spikes is why people lose weight on lo-carb diets).I was told that brown rice was more healthy and less fattening than white rice? True or False?
true!, brown rice hasn't be refined as much, white rice is usually stripped of all its nutrience then bleached then fortified(meaning they spraid it down with some but not all of the nutrience they removed) then boxed up and shipped out!I was told that brown rice was more healthy and less fattening than white rice? True or False?
Yes, that is true. White rice has had its outer layer of bran and vitamins removed, the benefit of that is that it has a longer shelf life in the store and it cooks quicker. White rice has a higher GI value, making you hungrier quicker than if you ate brown rice, and only brown rice has vitamin B and fiber in the brown coat. You could try making an Indonesian Rice Salad with brown rice, it's so tasty!
